Sponsorship program of Dolphin Academy

Sponsorship program of Dolphin Academy

December 05, 2016

Willemstad, Curaçao – We can proudly announce that in September we sponsored 3 groups to participate in a program called "Bayena i Dolfein". This program was designed by the Dolphin Academy of Curaçao to promote education among the middle schools.

The three participating groups were from Totolika, De Albert Schweitzer School and from Johan van Walbeeck school.

Dolphin Academy developed the educational project "Bayena i Dolfein" (Whale and Dolphin) in 2005, with the purpose to give every child in Curacao the chance to learn more about whales, dolphins and marine life. The students will be provided with a deeper understanding while creating a platform of awareness about the surroundings, the beauty and uniqueness of Curacao.

The program consisted of 3 elements, from which the children could benefit from.

The first part includes teaching materials for the schools, in 3 languages; Dutch, English and Papiamentu.

The second part of the program are lessons given by a substitute teacher from the Dolphin Academy. This teacher goes to each of the school to give lessons to the children.

The third part of the program consists of excursion at the Dolphin Academy. The sponsorships cover the whole trip from the bus ride, snacks, goody bag, along with a picture for each student with the dolphins.

CFG is glad to be a part of this sponsorship program, where we can contribute to the future of Curaçao.
